Where SP2 Fits Better Than a Normal Single-Phase Pump Path
A normal 220V single-phase pump system is often simpler when the buyer is starting from zero. In that case, the
SP1 page is a cleaner direction for small wells, tank filling, and light farm water supply.
SP2 has a different job. It helps when the pump motor itself is 220V three-phase, but the site does not have three-phase utility power. The buyer may already own the pump, or the local pump dealer may prefer a three-phase motor for smoother operation.
This is why the question is not “Is SP2 better than SP1?” The better question is, “Which motor are we trying to run?”
