SP4015 Hybrid Solar Pump Inverter for 11kW Winter Water Pumping in Ningxia

This customer did not only need water at noon. The pump also had to keep working from late afternoon into the evening, when solar input was no longer enough on its own.

The Ningxia system used a SolarSeeker SP4015 15kW inverter, an 11kW pump, and 30 pieces of 550W solar panels wired as 15 in series and 2 strings in parallel. The hybrid input let solar power remain the first energy source while AC power filled the gap.

Why Hybrid Input Was Needed

The difficult hours were 4 PM to 8 PM, not midday.

In summer and winter, Ningxia sites can still need water after the strongest sun has passed. Before this upgrade, the customer had to bring in diesel power whenever solar output became too weak late in the day.

Instead of adding frequent transfer switching, the SP4015 accepted solar and AC input together. Solar power stayed useful even when it was not enough to carry the full pump load, while AC power made up the shortage.

Running Check

The key check is late-day water output, not only a noon startup.

For a hybrid-input system, the practical question is whether the pump can keep using available solar energy while another AC source covers the shortage. That is the part that matters when irrigation or water supply continues after strong sunlight drops.
