SP1004 and SP3004 Solar Pump Inverters for a Two-Well Orchard Irrigation Project in Turkiye
The orchard did not start with a clean design sheet. It already had pump constraints, a limited budget, and two wells that had to share the irrigation job.
SolarSeeker matched one SP1004 inverter to a 1.5HP single-phase 3-inch submersible pump at 84 meters, and one SP3004 inverter to a 3HP 3-phase 220V 4-inch submersible pump at 145 meters.

Project Video
Each well needed its own pump decision.
One well could stay on a smaller single-phase pump to control cost. The deeper second well needed a three-phase pump path to support the orchard’s water demand.
Site Constraint
The well condition changed the pump choice.
The first well had taken in sand. A 4HP submersible pump at 84 meters became stuck, so the team cleaned the well and used a 3-inch, 1.5HP pump instead.
The first well alone was not enough for the orchard’s water need. The second well, at 145 meters, used a 3HP three-phase 220V pump with a separate inverter and panel set.
That is why this project should not be reduced to one inverter model. The useful lesson is how the site kept existing pumps working while staying inside the orchard budget.

A budget project still needs a clean handover.
What was kept simple
- Existing 220V pump types were considered instead of replacing everything.
- Panel count was kept lean: 7 panels on one well and 9 on the other.
- Each pump had its own inverter match.
What still had to be checked
- Well depth and sand condition.
- Single-phase versus three-phase pump nameplate.
- PV module Voc and Vmp before copying the panel count.
For A Similar Orchard
Choose the inverter path by pump type
A single-phase pump buyer and a three-phase pump buyer need different checks. The model choice starts from the pump nameplate, not from the orchard size alone.
For 220V single-phase pumps
Start from the 220V pump path and confirm whether SP1004 or another SP1 model fits the pump current.
For 220V three-phase pumps
Use the SP3 path when the pump is a 220V three-phase motor and needs a separate inverter match.
